The Island of Maui is the
second largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Also known as
the Valley Isle, Maui is also one of the most beautiful
islands. From the visitor's perspective there are two
primary parts of Maui. West Maui includes Lahaina,
Kaanapali and Kapalua. South Maui contains the Wailea,
Makena and Kihei areas. These areas feature most of
the islands resorts, beaches and visitor activities.
Of course there are other parts to Maui such as the
Upcountry area or East Maui and you might find something in
one of these areas that appeals to you
The decision on where to get married on Maui is a matter of
your preference. All areas offer attractive settings
and they all offer numerous options for accommodations.
Some people choose to get married at a hotel or resort while
others choose to hold the ceremony at a unique venue like a
beach, Hawaiian church or tropical garden.
Most of the major airlines serve Maui and most offer
non-stop service from select U.S. gateway cities.
Direct flights are also available from a number of Canadian
cities. Honolulu International Airport offers easy connections
to Maui for those arriving from other areas.
